Keenan Casey was a son, a teammate, and a friend to many. The Bird Legacy Foundation was established to keep his spirit alive — funding a hockey scholarship in his name at Saint Ignatius and bringing his community together every year in his honor.

Keenan Casey Tribute Game

On December 6th, friends, family, and community members came together on the ice to celebrate the life and legacy of our dear friend Keenan. What started as a tribute hockey game quickly became something even more special—a testament to the kind of impact Keenan had on everyone around him.

During the event, we were proud to officially announce the establishment of the Keenan Casey Memorial Scholarship, a lasting tribute to his memory. Through the incredible generosity of donors who loved and admired Keenan, we raised $10,000 to fund the scholarship's inaugural award—money that will go on to support a deserving student and carry Keenan's spirit forward for years to come.

The day was filled with laughter, love, and plenty of hockey— exactly the way Keenan would have wanted it.
